The American Council on Exercise (ACE) created its Clinical Exercise Specialist (CES) certification to provide instructors trained to fill the need of individuals who are given clearance to exercise following treatment for a disease, injury, or other health challenge, but who lack the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out this directive on their own.

Many physicians lack formal education and practical experience in such related areas as exercise physiology, motivation, goal setting, biomechanics, and exercise technique. As a result, patients are left on their own to fulfill this aspect of their rehabilitation.

The CES provides a safe and effective bridge for the patient to cross from the structured clinical treatment and/or rehabilitation environment to mainstream community environments.

We at M2M consider ourselves health care specialists, not disease specialists. Our certifications as personal trainers and clinical exercise specialists are through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

Jerry successfully challenges the effects of Parkinson's.
The old adage that states…”You don’t have to have had brain surgery to be a brain surgeon”… certainly applies to most occupations within the healthcare field, but in what we do, Thumper's personal experiences have been a definite plus in helping others. He experienced the fears, the emotions, and most of all, the frustrations that hinder and depress those embedded in chronic health situations. Although he's quite aware that you cannot transfer experiences, he's learned that if you embrace adversity with the thought of it being an incredible teacher, positive results will almost always be the product. Over the past eighteen years, our staff has witnessed profound health gains and active life restorations for many because of our philosophies: people don’t care what we know, they just want to know that we care. We get people to go where they’ve always wanted to go by doing what they’ve never thought of doing.

We are proud of our successes with our pre-hab program, which works in conjunction with area orthopedic surgeons. These programs require a period of time prior to pending knee, shoulder, ankle, and hip replacement surgeries where we improve our clients' muscle strength, balance, and coordination, thereby reducing the time generally needed for post surgery rehabilitation.
